Q. How is VAT charged when ordering from Seeed Studio (DE warehouses)?
A：When you place an order from Seeed Studio's Germany warehouses, VAT is charged based on the destination country's VAT rate. For EU customers, the VAT rate of the destination country applies. For non-EU customers, VAT is typically charged based on Germany VAT rules (standard rate of 19%). The VAT amount is automatically calculated and displayed during checkout.
Q. Can I claim VAT exemption by entering a VAT number at checkout?
A：Yes, if you are a business customer registered within the EU and have a valid VAT number, you can enter it during checkout to claim VAT exemption. The system will validate your VAT number in real-time. If valid, VAT will be deducted from your order total.
